In this paper, we design and implement a Web-based Internet/Intranet service management system which can support Quality of Service (QoS) contracted by users and service providers, using Service Level Agreement (SLA) concept. We have analyzed the requirements and management information for Internet/Intranet service management. Based on this analysis, we have defined the suitable QoS parameters for the management of Internet/Intranet services, and developed new WWW service Management Information Bases (MIBs) for QoS management by extending the existing IETF's MIBs. The support of QoS management is done by incorporating the SLA concept, which is measured, monitored and controlled systematically in a multi-domain environment. Finally, we have built a prototype system, and evaluated its performance. The prototype system utilizes Java and CORBA technologies, so that various benefits of these technologies such as platform independence and scalability can be obtained.

In this paper, we describe a new way of mobility support for the Internet and Intranet called "Unified Access." Different from other similar proposed technologies like Mobile IP, our scheme is more easy to use, secure, and have the full backward compatibility with existing equipments which are already used.

There is increasing demand for corporate information systems that have a simple human interface and are easy to access via WWW browsers. This paper proposes WebBASE, which integrates the WWW and relational databases. Experimental evaluation shows that WebBASE offers superior performance compared to existing products. Field studies of actual WebBASE applications show that it can improve the productivity of software developers for intranet application development.

A group-oriented cipher communication method is developed and implemented on a WWW-based (World Wide Web) network system. In this method, a group key common to all entities of the group is generated based on the group name or the identities of entities belonging to the group. The group key, in turn, is used for encrypting the data being shared among the group via the WWW server. The data theft at the WWW cache sites on the intermediate communication line is prevented, establishing a unified feature of the good WWW cache performance and security. A prototype of our method proved the feasibility and the efficiency.
