Abstract: The Australian research in the field of microwave technology is not very large. However we have some small but reasonably advanced capability and achievements. In this paper some of the Australian developments are discussed namely: GaAs Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits, MM-wave Local Area Networks, Antennas for Communications and Radioastronomy and application of Photonics to Warfare.
